Mission

To help professors, staff, and students hear the gospel, follow Christ, and bring a biblical perspective to the academy.

About Us

The Christian Faculty and Staff Network is an interdenominational, inter-disciplinary group made up of Purdue professors and staff who believe that the reality of God makes a difference – to us, to how we related to each other, to our tasks, and to how we ought to view our sphere of influence.

As such, this group helps to make connections that contribute to human flourishing in at least four areas:

  1. Connecting to God – the CFSN seeks to encourage professors, staff and students to know God personally.

  2. Connecting to each other – through monthly meetings, small group discussions, and occasional large group events, the CFSN seeks to facilitate a growing community of scholars and staff.

  3. Connecting to the broader university – we desire to be a blessing and resource to the university, and seek opportunities to serve, strengthen, and enrich the university experience for faculty/staff and students.

  4. Connecting ideas within the marketplace of ideas with Christian thought – we believe that the Christian worldview is not only plausible, but true – and as such all knowledge illuminates and points to the divine. The CFSN seeks to help professors and scholars integrate their faith with their scholarly work and life in a winsome and articulate way.
